Safety |
Historically, unsafe work practices in all construction trades have plagued the industry and overshadow all other project goals. J&L Management Corporation is committed to not only preaching safety, but also practicing what we preach. J&L Management’s goal in safety is to achieve zero lost time injuries through the life of the company. This goal is not subject to compromise, and requires the conscious effort of all alliance team members and leadership through example.
Mechanical operations to reduce manual labor and human exposure to hazardous conditions.
Project management includes constant planning. Before the first day a project begins, J&L structurally surveys the building to identify any and all hazards associated with a given project. This process continues through out the project through the implementation of “BOS” or behavior observation surveys that ensure that safe work practices are not only implemented, but also become habit in the project work environment.
Training and support promote safety. Every team member must be trained, understand the project plan and be familiar with the site hazards and the site hazard assessment. The best ammunition in the safety arsenal is knowledge and concern for all team members. The best safety program is of little value without the thriving cooperative culture embraced by each strategic alliance partner.
J&L Management Corporation trains, documents, and orientates every worker to a project site, and conducts routine safety meetings. J&L Management Corporation urges our customers to inspect our safety training records and participate in the safety meetings.
J&L Management Corporation fully understand the importance of working in conjunction with all governing agencies including EPA, OSHA, US Army Corps of Engineers and state and local agencies concerned with worker, public and environmental safety.
To continuously comply with and promulgate the ever-changing OSHA, EPA and other governmental agency regulations, J&L Management Corporation, through its site safety alliance partner, constantly upgrades its safety program and presents updates and new information to our strategic alliance via meetings and quarterly training seminars.
